The following privacy policy outlines how Avansai (the “Company” and “us”) will collect, use, protect, and disclose personal information for users of https://avansai.com (the “Site”). Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Avansai Terms of Use Agreement.
What is personal information?
“Personal information” means any information that directly or indirectly identifies an individual or any information about an identifiable individual. Please note that personal information generally does not include an individual’s business contact information, such as the name, title, address, or telephone number of the company where an individual works.
What information does the Company collect?
Subject to the exceptions provided by law, the Company will collect personal information from you when you access or use the Site, when you register for a Candidate or Client account (“Account”) on the Site, and when you communicate with the Company.
Registration and Account Information
When you create an Account, the Company will collect certain information from you, including your name, contact information, demographic information, and relevant credentials.
You may decide to integrate your Account with social media services. In connection with such integration, you authorize the Company to collect certain information that you have provided to the social media service, including your profile information, as well as any information that you make publicly available on or through the social media service. By using these social media services to interact with the Site, the Company is not given access to your login credentials. You are strongly advised to review the privacy policies of any third-party applications you use to interact with the Site.
Third-Party Information
When you use the Site, the Company may collect information from third parties that you provide to us or authorize us to collect (“Third-Party Data”). It is your responsibility to obtain the necessary consent for the collection and use of Third-Party Data and for the disclosure of this data to us.

The Company will keep personal information accurate, complete, and up-to-date according to the needs and purposes for which it is collected.
For what purposes is personal information collected?
The Company collects, uses, and discloses personal information for purposes identified at the time of the collection, which include, but are not limited to the following:

- understand your needs for, and determine your suitability for, products and services;
- provide services to you;
- inform you of new products and services and administer your inquiries;
- establish and maintain a business relationship;
- comply with legal, regulatory, and other obligations; and
- for any other purpose for which you have given your consent.
Although individuals under the age of 14 may use our Site, we do not offer our services to individuals in this age group. Therefore, we do not collect personal information from individuals under the age of 14 for the purpose of providing services.
What personal information may be disclosed?
The Company will not use nor disclose your personal information other than for the purposes for which it was collected, except with your consent or as required by law. In particular, the Company may disclose personal information in order to:
- submit quotes or proposals to prospective Customers or Clients;
- present Candidates to Clients or Work Opportunities to Candidates;
- explore and/or undertake corporate opportunities, including a merger, acquisition, amalgamation, IPO, reorganization, or sale of the Company, including the due diligence process and the transfer of information through to the closing of any such transaction; and
- comply with the law, when the Company believes that disclosure is necessary to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on the Company and to defend against legal claims. The Company may also disclose your personal information to investigate the breach of an agreement, including the Terms of Use.
The Company will never rent or sell your personal information or use this information to send you spam.
How does the Company protect personal information?
Safeguards, security systems, and processes are in place to protect your information against unauthorized access, disclosure, use, or modification, whether on-site or off-site.
The Company keeps a registry of confidentiality incidents, which includes all incidents involving personal information in our possession. The Company undertakes to inform you of any breach of our security procedures relating to your personal information if it is reasonable, in the circumstances, to believe that the incident could present a risk of serious injury to you or your personal information.
Work Agreement data is accessible to those Company individuals who have been designated with such authority and only to the extent necessary to accomplish the objectives we have described above. All personal employee/contractor information maintained within the Company is centrally located and is maintained secure and confidential. Any personal information provided to the Company’s providers is disclosed only upon assurances that those providers maintain similar standards of personal information protection. All data transmissions and communications with the Company through the Site are end-to-end encrypted.
How long will the Company retain your personal information?
We retain your information for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it has been collected. Your personal information will be destroyed once we no longer need it and once all the requirements of the law have been met.
Have you consented?
By submitting your personal information to us, you have consented to our use and disclosure of the personal information for the purposes outlined in this Policy. If we wish to use or disclose your personal information other than as described in this Policy, we will obtain your express consent before doing so.
If you prefer that we do not use or disclose your personal information for any of the purposes described in this Policy, or if you wish to withdraw or modify your consent to the provision or disclosure of your personal information, you can choose to delete your account and cease using the Site. If you choose to continue using the Site, we will consider you to have consented to our continued use and disclosure of your personal information.

There are some instances where we may need to transfer personal information to a third-party service provider, which includes service providers located outside the province of Quebec. Whenever we engage a third-party service provider, we confirm that its privacy and security standards meet our requirements. Personal information transmitted to third-party service providers is limited to that which is necessary for the performance of their services.
In the event that a third-party service provider is located outside of Canada, the government, courts, or agencies having authority may be entitled to obtain authorization to disclose your personal information under their laws and regulations.
How can you access your personal information?
At any time, at the time of the collection and upon request, you may access and rectify your personal information free of charge. However, the Company reserves the right to charge reasonable fees to anyone wishing to obtain a copy of this information.
Please note that if your information is combined with information of others (such as in payroll spreadsheets), the Company reserves its right to deny you access to such information unless we are able to segment your personal information or subject to applicable legislative provisions.
Any request for access or rectification of your personal information must be addressed in writing to the Privacy Officer using our contact form.
Our site
Each time you visit our Site, we gather anonymous session data that can include the date, time, browser type, name of the visitor’s Internet service provider, the site that referred the visitor to us, any pages that are requested, the navigation history and IP address of the user. Each time you log into your Account, we will identify your session data using limited personal information such as your name. We use this information for our internal audit log and system administration, and to gather broad demographic information about our user base. This information may be shared with third parties in order to provide services for aggregate use.
If you object to this gathering of information, you should not use or access our web pages.
Our Site may employ the use of “cookies”. A “cookie” is a small line of data that is sent to your Internet browser from a web server and stored on your computer’s hard drive or on your device’s internal storage.
